Course Aims –
•Strike an arc correctly
•Weld metal in the flat position carrying out butt and fillet welds, including pad building
•Set up and operate a welding set and select correct voltage, current and rod size
•Operate a welding set in a safe and efficient manner
•Ensure that his/her own clothing and protective equipment is satisfactory for the tasks to be completed
